If you're anything like me then you love to listen to books and podcasts while your hands are busy, but your mind is free to wander.

But over the years I've noticed a gap in the audio indulgence market. Sometimes I want a great story, but I only have a short time to listen. I don't want to sift through short stories on Audible or other listening platforms, because that would just take more time. I just want to click on something that puts out new, clean, ficticious content each week.

I looked and looked for something that would satiate my listening needs, but nothing was quite right.

So, I dreamed up Story Wars.

What is Story Wars?

A seasonal podcast that puts out two original short stories per week
An interactive contest where listeners get to vote on which story they liked the best
A reliably clean podcast that you can listen to without worrying about offending sensitive ears
A way for writers to showcase their work in an original way
An online community of writers who want to build each other up and improve their craft

Why is it called Story Wars?

As a writer I know how hard it is to be vulnerable and put your work out into the world, but I also know how motivating a little competition can be.

So at Story Wars, we want your stories!

We will select stories from our submission pile that fit our requirements, and read them on the podcast. We will try our best to pair up two stories in similar genres and feature them together in an episode.

Then listeners will vote on which story they loved the most!

Winners will receive special recognition, and all stories read on the podcast will go into our published seasonal anthology. The story with the most votes each season will win an additional prize (TBD).

Kristina Cersey

Kristina is an avid reader, writer and all around lover of stories. As a former model/actress she also has experience being a character. She loves bringing stories to life, and can speak in a variety of accents and tones. Kristina looks forward to making your short stories shine for our listeners!

She is married with three children ages 15, 13, and 10. Beyond writing and reading, she enjoys cycling, photography, and a good challenge.
